Why does the Association exist and what does it do?
The association exists for the purpose of promoting the discipline and certifying the production of pizza that is authentic and Neapolitan.

What do you mean by Verace (Authentic) pizza?
The authenticity of pizza here means the extent to which it conforms to the international discipline of Verace Pizza Napoletana and to the original authentic Neapolitan pizza as distinguished from other varieties of pizza deriving from it.

Why do you say that pizza is Neapolitan?
Pizza is Neapolitan because the basic form of pizza as we know it today originated in Naples as a creation of the Neapolitan people themselves.

Who are its members?

What are the benefits of the Association to its members?
Members obtain the right to display the Verace Pizza sign and seal assuring their customers thereby that the pizza produced in that establishment is authentic Neapolitan pizza.

What are the duties of the members and of the Association?

How do I/my business become a member?
First, read the web site to see if your business meets the requirements or could make the changes to meet the requirements for the production and certification of Authentic Neapolitan Pizza.
Next, tell us about yourself and your business via e-mail. Please send gif or jpg photos of your place of your business and pizza as attachments or inserted into an html e-mail.
